There is current concerns in the construction industry regarding lead-time and availability issues of compliant cladding caused by the spread of the deadly virus Coronavirus in Asia, specifically China.

Facade cladding manufacturer, BLUECHIP, has responded to these delays by expanding its manufacturing network to include new partnerships with quality manufacturers from southwest Asia and Europe.

Several years ago, BLUECHIP identified the potential concerns and inherent business risk surrounding single origin sourcing of some of our leading NCC compliant products leading to extensive investment with multiple supply partners to mitigate this risk. This forward investment, along with maintaining one of the largest stock-holdings in Australia of NCC compliant cladding products, has now become paramount to ensuring reliable continuity of supply to the building industry for both new-builds and reclads as it works to fix already at-risk façade projects.

Through sourcing new suppliers, BLUECHIP has prioritised meeting strict specification and certification mandatories to guarantee any new suppliers will be providing quality product that is compliant and consistent. This includes third party Quality Assurance auditing of the ISO-9001 compliant premises, by global science QA organisation UL. All existing testing and certification documents, with the inclusion of our NATA accredited fire testing, will remain valid.

The beneficial outcome from BLUECHIP’s expanded manufacturing base is that we can provide ongoing reliable supply for both stock products and large project orders which can be assured of reliable delivery within 12-14 weeks from order, very similar to previous supply from mainland China.
